4-H Youth Livestock
4-H Youth Livestock participants can show and sell a variety of animals at our county fair, including lambs, hogs, beef, goats, chickens, and rabbits. Market steers are weighed and tagged each November. Tag Day for the county fair is held each year in May. Remember that no livestock can be unloaded before inspection by the State Animal Health Inspector. All sheep and goats must have a scrapie tag.
If you would like more information about showing animals at our fair, or at the WV State Fair please contact us.
Each Summer all 4-H youth livestock participants will be visited twice to check on the progress of their projects and weigh the animals. Home visit schedule for all beef, hogs, lambs, and goats will be announced at a later date.
